Do I have to remove my baby cichlids once they are born? I do not want them to get eaten. I have Dainos in my tank with the cichlid, they had babies and were eaten.

most likely the danio babies were eaten bt the cons. When I had con fry a while back, mom and dad would take turns watching them. I would be careful with the danios, as they will get the snot beaten out of them if they get too close. I noticed you said with the "cichlid" singular. I hope you mean cichlids (plural) if you are expecting fry.

are they all cons? If you are worried, get a breeding net. Its a frame with a fine mesh net you hang on the side of the tank, allowing you to keep them in the tank without being "accessable" to the other fish.

No, I have several other kind of cichilids in my tank. I will get the net for my tank. The parent seem to be very protective. They only have the bed now, how long before I have new kids?

I think mine were about 5-7 days once the eggs were laid. It was a few years ago. I got about 50 bucks for them from my lfs. I bought liquifry(baby food), But I think that was a waste. i could see them eating small pieces of flake from day one.
