do your fish typically disapeer without any logical reason of this happening? Mine have done it twice in my 20g. My dwarf clawed frog is gone! you can not tell me that my neons ate him either.

double\triple check your filters, rocks, structures and gravel\sand. There is a possibility that a fish\frog\snail could hide in any one of those spots so just make sure. Of course there is the possibility, like CB65 said, that it jumped ship but lets be hopeful here ;)

I have lost a few fish, and I do mean lost. They just disapear with out a trace, as a matter of fact I am missing one right now. I have checked all the filters, plants, and such and he is mia... and no chance of jumping ship there is only one strip 1/4" x 6" for a HOB filter, and a 1" x 1" square for feeding. Now that said it is possible that if he is dead he may be stuck somewhere and you do not see him, I have had that happen.

Yeah...really strange HUH !

I had 3 panda cories in a 29 with 2 dwarf gourami and a pair of blue rams.....came back from a weeks vacation and one was missing. I searched everywhere, but not a trace. I just figured it died and the other two must have eaten it.

Sooo...I go out and buy another to replace that one and I moved the three of them into a different tank. Not a week went by and that new one disappeared !

Now, I check my tanks out several times a day...(because I'm a nut !)..never saw any indication that anything was wrong with any of them.....one evening it was there...the next morning it wasn't ! I searched all over the tank...behind the tank...in the filters....They couldn't possibly devour it entirely THAT quickly..could they ???

Now the one thing I didn't do was stir through the sand in this tank....do you think it's possible the other two offed him and buried him in the sand to hide the evidence ???

Lol...it's a mystery to me ! But I'm not buying anymore...lol...these two apparently "Vant to be Alone" !

Oh....lol...I was missing a tetra in one of the tanks once.....He had been breeding with the female constantly over a period of days....and I think he couldn't take it anymore and jumped ship. I found him in the box of aquarium salt behind tank.....salted to perfection !

underneath all of my filter media... I feel horrible that means he had to go through that little fan and everything, I felt like puking when I saw this

by the way, don't be suprised if fish happen to find the tiniest holes to escape through. I had a rainbow shark "escape" many months ago, and it really must have been quite a planned escape  for him to fit through the space he did!!! IT WAS TINY, he must have had his body turned at just the right angle, and hit it just right...poor guy, I felt SOOO guilty :(

I'm sorry to hear about your frog.Maybe you can get another one,and put a sponge or something over your filter intake?
