I have a 75gal FOWLR and I am troubled on why I can not keep fish. I acclimate my fish the proper ways and I have had more fish die on me ever since I replaced my CC for LR and aragonite. My LFS tell me my water is OK but what gives? Just what else needs to be checked in my tank, what are they not doing when they test the water that should also be checked?

How long on average have you been able to keep them alive(hours, days, weeks)?

At the very most a week to 8 days. I have a new yellowtail damsel that is doing OK but my clown just died. But I was looking for him to die, he's been sickly looking for quite a long time.

I have had my tank changed over to reef for a least 8-9 months.

What kind of signs are these fish showing before they go down?

What are the test results on your tank and how is it set up?

Which tests is your shop performing on your water?

Did all your fish come from the same shop?

mmmmmm........

sounds like the fish store may have a few probs with their water. try a different store, then see what happens.

My LFS check my water for 1 Specific Gravity
2 pH
3 Ammonia
4 kH
5 Nitates
All were usually normal, so they said. I really don't have any other place in the area to go for RO water and I never had problems with their fish till I changed to a reef setup. This place is the most reliable place in my town, I thought so. I used to be able to buy anything they had and never lost a fish till the reef setup. What other tests need to be done???

Do you have the results of these tests, or did your LFS just tell you that they were "normal"? Also, if you have the results, have you compared them against the params of your LFs's water for any major differences?
