I recently had two betta die and I need to sanatize thorouly before i get another fish. This includes rocks ( I usually boil the rocks) also. I have heard theat bleach seeps into the plastic and comes out latter. Any tips please?
weel one that I had from almost two years started getting a singal white dot (like a speck of paint) then eventually the other eye had the samething. I treated hin with CopperSafe, Jung Fung Fung Elim...no change, than he stopped eating and his quality off life was sad. I had to euthanize him.
Than i picked up another betta and he died of mouth fungus while i was on vaaca. So I want to steralize the **** out of it this time.
What about white vinegar? Rinse well and then rince better lol. No chemicals and I would think the high PH of it would kill anything. Best of all no chemicals. Just need to know what size tank it is? There maybe easier ways if it's small. But vinegar or maybe a high concentrate rubbing alcohol would work. Buy that I mean go to a drug store and get nothing less then 90-100 percent. Best of all it shoud all evaporate then you just need to rince out any residue. Higher grade stuff shouldn't leave anything behind just don't smoke or light a match  LOL.

(edit: hee hee tank size is in the title... Ya those two will work like a charm on a tank that small.)
