Hawaii
Hello everybody. I'm a little new to saltwater aquariums. I currently am setting up a 150 gallon tank. I so far only have a zebra moray eel and a scorpian fish. I plan to move the scorpian fish into another tank so it wont eat the new fish. I am interested in making a planted tank. I was wondering what I need to do to sustain one (like co2 injections, supplements, etc.) I will be using 2x160 watt vho. Is that enough lighting? I will be keeping no corals. I heard that some species of macro algae release toxins when cut, are they harmful to fish? If anyone in Hawaii knows where I can buy coral please tell me, reef tank is second choice. Any help will be appreciated.

There are very few planted tanks run--most will have macro algaes, but they are not true plants...

i don't know anything about macroalgae (sorry) but i just wanted to tell u that if u have a zebra moray eel and a scorpionfish, i like your style

i suggest u look for a book on macroalgae
