Hello,
Just got a 33 gallon (instantly cycled with my ten gallon tank media, Nitrates have appeared all week). It has an aquaclear 50 on the back. I put two bolivian rams in with my previous ten gallon inhabitants, three albino cories, six neon tetras and 2 sparkling gouramis. I would like to perhaps add some good dither fish, such as 8-10 harlequin rasboras. I want the Rams to be the centerpiece fish ( I am pretty sure I have a male and a female).
I just wanted to solicit opinions. I could just add a bunch more neons, but I kind of find them to be timid bottom dwellers, so you cannot really see them in the day that much. Would this change if I added 10 more?
This would be what I would want:
3 albino cories
2 sparkling (pygmy) gouramis
6 neon tetras
2 bolivian rams
8 - 10 harlequin rasboras
1 dwarf gourami
tetras and rasboras stay small and add very little to the tank load. I am strict about bi-weekly, 30 percent water changes. I never let the nitrates rise to above 15 ppm.
Any suggestions or other ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
