ive had my red cap oranda in a cycled 20 gallon tank alone with 3 cory catfish for 2 months now with 50% weekly water changes. When i bought it, it had fish lice. After removing them and dealing with that the fish seemed happy.. 2 weeks later over the weekend i noticed a few red patches on her white skin and it looked alot like blood. The next day the red lines on its fins darkend and thickened and at the base its all red.. I did a 75% water change yesterday and so far theres been no change for better or worse... does anyone know what could be happening. The fish doesnt seem distressed at all and is acting normal

Q: The fish has bloody patches on the skin as if it were sanded or scraped off.
A: Your fish are affected by a Costia infestation. (Ichthyobodo).
Treatment: Treat the fish with Acriflavine Neutral -or- Copper Sulfate.
By the way, costia infestation is common in koi and goldfish.

ok completly off his question what is fish lice how do you know your fish has it and how do they get it
Fish Lice (Argulus)
Symptoms: Fish rub against rocks and plants and have clamped fins. Areas may have red, inflamed spots. Small lice are visible to the naked eye.
I'm not sure how they get them
