Ok here is a good question.

Does anyone who keep tanks (whether they be marine, cold or tropical) actually bother to use a microscope
to see what kind of micro fauna they have?

I dont mean bacteria because a microscope would be
expensive, but even using a tiny microsocope
so you can see all the little terrors like the tiny worms
and plankton critters.

Or is it too frightening to look at those monsters close up? :)

Yes, many of us do. You don’t need to start off with a microscope. 10X and 20X hand magnifiers are inexpensive and mobile. They’re used often by me at home and in the field.
