I'm back! (So is my 135 Gallon, Pics included)

Hey guys, its been a while, just htought I'd pop back in and take a look around. It's been a long time since I posted, but the big change, is that I have moved. This involved tearing down all of my tanks, and re-setting htem all up. It has taken me months, but this is what I came up with;

This is the 135 Gallon, all six feet of it, full of slate and mopani. I am using almost every piece of mopani I have in this tank now, with over 100 pounds of BC Slate haveseted locally. In the left side the slate encloses a white PVC tunnel system where the loaches hide out. The right hand side has some PVC caves just under hte surface that the loaches have to dig out to get into. This keeps them busy without digging into the planted areas of the tank.

There are about 45-60 Neons in here, although I think some are missing, 7 clown loaches, 3 Zebra loaches, 3 Burmese Border Loaches (Botia Kubotai), 2 Botia Rostrata's, Several gouramis and a gold nugget pleco. Its a busy tank, but with tons of places to hide and extra filtration, this tank is doing fairly well.

Sorry about the cloudiness, but its the best I could do for tonight (I only seem to have enough time to take pics on days I am working on the tanks, so the pics have been lousy recently)

Thanks! It has been a real struggle to get everything moved in, and I was having a hard time trying to get 4 tanks looking nice so I ended up taking hte hardscape from 2 other tanks to build this one up. It was the best thing I could have done. My 45 gallon is a complete hardscape now using river rock and two pieces of mopani, my 90 gallon has been retired (well, put into service as a tank for 12" red eared slider) and the 22 gallon is mostly plants with a single pice of cool driftwood. I'll post pics of it tomorrow.

Where do you get all that wood to put into the tank? It looks really cool!

That tank looks nice. I especially love your ideas of creating the pvc tunnels through your rockwork. Your fish must love adventuring through that. Looks good though, nice tank.

b-e-a-utiful say if u no anything on breeding convicts go to WOOHOOOOO
welcome back!

Thanks again! Its good to be back... I have never bred cons myself as I always seem to end up with 2 males, or 2 females... never a pair.. and I havent dedicated too much time to them.

I'm much more obsessed with collecting loaches. The tunnels in the slate were for them.. although they have trumped me yet again!

Instead of hiding "in" the tunnels like I had hoped, they now swim around the entrances and hide in the pieces of slate behind. *sigh* c'est la vie however, I can't be mad at them for being smarter then I am.

lol ok thex anyways!
