Hi, I have a 15 gallon tall freshwater planted tank that I hope to take with me when we move next week, but it will involve eight hours in the car. The tank is kept at 78 degrees. He will be the only critter we're keeping - the boys love him! I'm not sure what kind of shrimp he is exactly. The LFS said he might be an ? passion shrimp. (does that sound like anything you've heard of?) He's about 1 1/2" long and is a light brown color with a long red spine coming from the center of his face.

My main questions are: how to keep him safe on the car ride, and if anyone knows if he will need to stay heated. Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

get a tupperware container, put a few plants in there for him to cling to so the water doesn't move him around too much, and keep him in the car with you. should be fine.

congrats
