I was just wondering if anyone had some dward sag they could donate. I needed a fast growing plant in my 20g L that would cover the floors to prevent algae, and also to add a good foreground plant. I had purchased from a website that was recommended by a lot of people but it cost me over $60 dollars to get some plants, and most of them came in bad shape; either dying or half eaten by snails or both! They all eventually survived except for my temple plant. Anyway, it was insanely expensive and I was wondering if anyone could be so kind and donate some for my sparsely planted tank. I could pay, but two people that I talked to wanted to charge me $6 each per plant including ship, and the other said $1.50 per plant (not bad) but $6 per plant shipped. If anyone can give me a better deal, I'd appreciate it greatly!

I've got some I can spare. I was going to take them to an auction last weekend but had to go out of state on short notice.

There's not a whole lot but if you're prepared to wait 2 weeks max, I'll have more than enough to fill your tank. The plants are free. It's up to you how you want them shipped.

I'd really appreciate it very much. I'm willing to wait. You can ship it any way you like. I can pay you for them. Hopefully at a decent price. :thm:

ok well I'll have to give valleyvampiress first shot but there should be enough to spare. I will check out the best way to ship them. Next day delivery gets kind of pricey but sag are tough and may survive standard post. The ones I have already in my QT tank were without light from Saturday to Thursday because I had to go to Michigan in a hurry.

If anyone can give me a few tips on the best way to package and ship, I'd appreciate it.

Take 2 pages of newspaper and wet it down thuroughly, hold it up so excess water runs off. Place the plants on it and gently wrap them. Hold up with a corner down so water can again run off. Put it in a plastic bag and seal it. Some leave lots of air in the bag, I prefer to leave most of the air out, that way they plants aren't bouncing around inside the bag. Put it in a box with some kind of packaging material, styrofoam, plastic air bags, bubblewrap, crumpled newspaper, etc.... USPS Priority is ~4 or $5 (depending on weight it could be more) and is usually 2-3 days, no problem for the plants. The problem is if the package sits in the back of a truck all weekend or on someones doorstep/mailbox in the blazing sun!!! Ship on Monday or Tuesday and you should be o.k..

reiverix, if you need payment for it, I'm more than willing to pay. I know it is not free to ship or package. All I'm asking is for a deal. I'm really greatful for the offer!

ok well that'll be 15 trillion dollars please :D Nah the plants are free and shipping shouldn't be more than 5 bucks or so. I'll PM ya when I've got a bundle to ship out.
