After four recent 80% water changes, my cycle seems complete. Whew! Levels are:

Ammonia: 0
No2: 0
No3: 5.0

My wife is happy -- she was getting sick of me talking about it! ;)

So, guess what I'm thinking of now? That's right -- more fish!!! :D

I know they are not an exotic pick, but I really like guppies. I was thinking of a few male guppies (I have no interest at all in breeding). The lfs (who have been somewhat helpful, but not perfect) warn that it's a 50/50 chance the guppies will get severely fin-nipped by the others.

Some other options I'm considering:

- Neon tetras (to keep w/ the tetra theme)
- Increasing # of species I already have, such as serpaes
- Betta, though the ones at the lfs look awful -- poor things!

So, any thoughts on which fish would do well in such a community? They don't have to be ultra-cool or the sexy pick, just something with some color that would fit in well with the tank I've set up.

Thanks, all.

PS- I've heard that once you see nitrates, you should do another water change before getting into the rhythm of regular changes. Any thoughts? (last 80% change was 4 days ago).

my vote would go for a few harqlin rasboras (excuse the spelling) :) they are good hardy fish and add a lot of color and beauty but dont take up much space.
