If I can get the money, I will try to crack the code on bloods. The correct 2 types of cichlids needed to make them (no zinc for this experiment). All I can think of is red devils and gold severiums. I am open to other rumered pairs or chains of pairs. also, which do you think the male should be and same for the female? and how to tell the difference between male and female of the rumered pairs?

Red Devil+Uaru-something like a blood parrot
Red Devil+Festivum Cichlid something like a blood parrot
Red Devil+Salvini Cichlid=blood parrot
Midas+Salvini Cichlid=blood parrot
these combos will probably work well try them out.

It's actually the Red devil and the gold severum that make up the Parrot cichlid.

The Blood Red Parrot - Cichlosoma waringblenderis - Is likely a severum and a devil or a midas. For more information on this aberration, see these pro sites - http://parrotcichlid.com/ and http://geocities.com/parrotcichlid/main.html - for a another perspective, see this site - http://cichlidresearch.com/parrot.html - there are plenty of real cichlids out there to breed, and, since the cost and interest in parrots has dropped dramatically in the last few years, really not a lot of incentive to recreate this mutt.

listen to fishboy. IMHO hybrids are for people who don't really appreciate the majesty of what natural selection can produce.
