After seeing all of the GORGEOUS tanks that everyone has here mine looks piteful. I dont have a pic of nor can I post a pic of it(no dig. camera and no scanner)I can describe it though.

Decor/plants

it is a 29 gallon tank. I have about 5 tall sword plants in the back, 3 TINY ones in the front, 2 banana plants, and 2 grass plants. I have regular gravel also. I have a rock that has 4 holes for fish to swim through in the middle that is about 10 in. tall. Then I have a little sign in the tank.

fish

2 female mollies
2 mickey mouse platys
1 blue gourami

My tank looks really bare! I don't want to spend much more money. Please help me!

I drew a picture of my tank(NOT good at all) but I can't figure out how to put it on here.

its hard not to spend money in your position but one invesment would be to buy a good light and that will make your plants grow faster or you could buy low light plants a tank is a obsession not a hobby a man wants said

java fern is inexpensive and can grow on your rock thing.
what sort of tanks do you find gorgeous?
the lushly planted tanks generally take a whole hobbys worth of investment and knowledge in themselves. i wouldnt sugeest going there before you have a whole lot more experience and sucess with the fish.
javammoss is also pretty cheap and grows in low light and if you likethe look of it fills a tank nicely.
rocks and driftwood can be had for free if you are smart about it.
any food safe ceramic thing is safe for an aquarium, you could browse thrift stores for tchathckes.
all depends on what u like.

try smoe hornworts. theyre about 1.99 and you can cut them and plant them in other places. they also require little light and grow fast.

I have a hood light and the light is made for both plants and fish.

looks like you're good to go for some hornworts. i think if you get some you'll really like them. so will your fish.

ok..I'll try to look for them! What do they look like? I have to read this all in Norwegian and I don't know what's it called then:D...lol..anyways...is it a floating plant?

oh ok..I had some SORT OF like that before I think..at least similar and it died. I just stick my plants in the rocks and let them grow..is that ok...and I never use any liquid stuff in the water to nourish the plants because the time that I used it it killed me plants. Is this ok?
