HELP....for the past few weeks my tank has been cloudy and I dont know what the problem is to solve it. There are several live plants with 2 dwarf gourami and 2 powder blue dwarf gourami, an algae eater, mystery snail and a few ghost shrimp plus multiple MTS. i've been debating a new Aqua Clear 130 filter (10-30 Gal). But my question is what is the problem....its not the geen algae blooms of too much lighting, but more of a murky whitish color. I've tried to use Accu-Clear to try and clear it up, does anyone have any possible solutions to my problem.

ps ive even tried 10%-20%water changes each day for about a week :dive2:

most likley it is an bacterial bloom and it needs to balance itself out, my tank is doing the exact same thing, everything i have read about it says that it will clear up on its own and with water changes, maybe even by adding new fish.

i have the same problems, and ive only had mt tank about 1 months, i had alot more fish but recently took out a pleco and 3 opalone gourami, 55btw still ahve 2 angels 2 sd's and 6 corys . Im going to try water changes and hopefully it clears up. Mela fix kills bactria rite, call i dose the tank with mela fix?

No melafix will not help this situation...At a month old, this is definitely a bacterial bloom, and you should just give your tank time to balance out. Do a 50% water change and just give it a couple days, It'll clear up.

My tank is about Four Months Old now, Amonia 0ppm, Nitrites 0ppm, Nitrates 20ppm, ph 7.0.....i just added two new gourami in the last week, could this be the problem?

You're definitely experiencing a bateria bloom. My 55 gallon tank is well established and then BOOM, this past weekend, my water just will not clear up. I've done frequent water changes so I expect it to clear up in a couple days. My bacteria in the tank hasn't caught up to the waste being produced to break it down. Don't panic, your tank will be crystal in a couple days.
