Seventh day of heat/salt as per daveedka's article.
The tank I got the ICH from is being treated too. I will call tomorrow to see how that one is doing. The store is closed today.
Meanwhile, is this a normal length of time at 90F?
I guessed that my 20G has 16G of water and added salt @ 2t/G accordingly. have done one 50%PWC and vacuumed the gravel twice in addition. replacing the salt each time.
it is Kosher cooking salt. disolved into change water... there is also prime in the tank. filtration = ugf by airpump and an HOB sized for a 10G and a whisper internal sized for a 10G.
the chocolate gouramis are the only ones showing ICH. they look otherwise fine,. the otto is beginning to look uncomfortable to me. the snail looks fine.
day 2 or 3, saw increased spots on effected fish.. then down to only a few spots that seemed to remain until today when i see more spots and on more fish.
Any suggestions?

keep it up, as long as it isn't spreading and the fish aren't dying then the ich will slowly start to die off. Personally I'd lower the temp to about 84-86 because 90 just scares me. That may be why they look mad.

As long as they are eating they should be ok. Also remember to keep the treatment up even after all signs are gone.

Thanks!
Except for the oto ,who seems ok today, although not as frisky as at lower temps, the fish are doing fine @90F
these fish like to live at 86F normally.
Today there is considerably less ich visible! Maybe I was just impatient.
still not all gone, but I am hoping maybe tomorrow.

While ich typically responds to treatment in rapid fashion ( rapid being a relative term of course) there have been and always will be some resilient cases that take a couple of rounds to finish off. This is one of the reasons that we always give time frames after the last visible sign of ich. It is really hard to pinpoint a time frame until all ich is gone from the fish. This is also another reason that the salt/ heat method is preferred IMO. salt/heat doesn't cause nearly as much stress as other effective meds, and treatment periods can be extended much longer in order to unsure success. Keep at it, and You'll get rid of the little buggers.
