So I went to the doctor today( not the same one!!!!!!) so I could meet him and have him check me. We aren't going to go back to the one that gave us the wrong info! We went in and he looked at me and said that he THOUGHT that he saw two babies :thud:. Wouldn't that be awesome if it is true? So I thought that was AWESOME and Haakon is so excited he can't sit still!..lol..so anyways..thought I would share my news:D

P.S. Not getting my hopes up just in case:)

My sister had twin boys. They're now 15. You'll have to let us know when you find out for sure !

Congrats ! :thm: :thm: <----(twins)

Depends on how they check. We had complications early in the pregnancy, and had to have a high-resolution sonogram. We found out sometime pretty early in the pregnancy -- first trimester, for sure. It's been six years, so my memory's a bit fuzzy.

Good luck with your pregnancy!
Jim

thanks! I am just 2 months into it(7 weeks:D) so he doesn't know for sure yet if I'll have twins or not.

If he did an ultrasound it seems that he would know for sure. the thing is, and I hate to scare you but it is now thought that twins are more common than originally thought but alot of times one will miscarry and you won't know it. the only reason they know that this happens is b/c they do more early ultrasounds than they used to. later they do another ultrasound and one twin is gone. it's called vanishing twin syndrome. most drs. will not say if they see twins in an early ultrasound unless they see two heartbeats. if you haven't had an ultrasound yet then he really shouldn't have said anything at all IMO. on a lighter note, if you are pregnant with twins, congrats, you'll have your hands full :)

he did an ultrasound. he said he thought he heard 2 heartbeats and 2 babies but...ya. That is scary about the vanishing twin thing!!!!!!!! Well, I'll try not to let it worry me:) Thanks for the info Larrissa!

well, if he did an ultrasound he should have seen two heartbeats on the screen so I dunno. Oh well, I'm not a Dr. :p: Let us know when you find out for sure.

I might have not translated something right. Haakon wasn't there because of work:(:(:(..so I guess I better call the doctor tomorrow huh?
