Hello,
I just bought a few diminutive Scarlet badis fish for my 5 gallon planed tank. I have them in there with two ghost shrimp. I am wondering what I should feed them, as I've seen a ot of talk about them only eating live/frozen food.
Please give me any info you can on these guys!

they do prefer live food but you should be able to 'convert' them. take a lok at;

Hello,
Does anyone knoe a good way to sex these fish? I know I have one male scarlet badis, but the second one I got is very small and seems harder to nail down..
It is a light brown color, but it's front filaments show slight lines of black. Also, on occasion, light vertical bands, as sported by the males of this species, can be seen. It does not have any bright red fins yet, and there doesn't appear to be any color as of late.
Would my male chase the other fish around if it wasn't a male? In other words, are the male scarlet badis fish aggressive towards the females?
Thanks,
~MJay

Hello,
What locally available foods do these fish take to?! They don't appear to be eating anything I offer them. I recently procurred some grindal worms, but I'm not sure how well they are doing.
I have yet to try frozen food-- do they enjoy bloodworms, brine shrimp, etc.? It's hard to keep stuff frozen in my dorm fridge...
Thanks in advance,
~MJay
