i believe they mean as in like water params such as ammonia, nitrite, nitrate,pH,gh, and kh Also like what filters your using and temp and such. Just try and tell us as much about your tank as you possibly can, the more we know the better off we can help you. Also what size are your oscars chances are hes geting beat on by the other two.

My oscars change colors too, no biggy, sometime the red one is black, some times he wakes up and he is bright red, My tiger changes back and forth too. They all remain very happy and healthy despite the changes in color.

Mine Is Far From Happy...i Have An Aquaclear 110, Temp Is At A Steady 81-85....ph Levels Are Greats...water Change Every Two Weeks....nitrates Are Fines....i Have Fresh Ammonia And Carbon Packs In The Filter, New Sponge, With A Piece Of The Old One Still In For Bacteria Purposes....they Are Oly About 6 Inches....the Others Are Healthy And Look Great....but They Do Fight...

I guess every tank is not as harmoneous? Maybe you should separate him. We have a hospital tank for these type of problems.

Bob I just noticed the number of fish you have in such a tiny tank. I don't think either of your tanks are big enough for one of those fish much less all of them.

That is basically opinion, I raised fish when I was in grade school.
