I have a 7 gallon pond with one goldfish and a couple plants. But i need plants that can stay in the pond through winter without dying because my tank isn't set up yet. A couple more fish would make my pond interesting. But my goldfish Greg is old so he won't be up to fighting. If you know a fish that won't attack him and can stay in the pond all winter please talk to me! :sad:

Where abouts are you located? What is the average temp of your pond in the winter? I am just asking because to better answer your question these are a few things we have to know.
i do hope it is a typo. . .a 7 gallon pond is nothing more than a really bad pothole.

the pond is more like 10-15 gallons in one part its 1 foot deep and in another part its 2 feet deep and 4 feet long and its almost like an 8 shape only the middle doesn't coonect.
