Hello All.
First post on what looks to be a great site.
After having and breeding Africans for some time now, it's time to move on to something else. (South Americans)
All the africans in the 125 have been relocated to other tanks or sold.
I did a gravel vac. and a 75% water change going back with just conditioned water. No added african cichlid stuff. PH is around 7.6 - 7.8
Everything else is 0 as it should be.
I found a couple of Severums the other day, 1 Green, 1 Gold, at about 7".
They now reside in the 125 along with Coco the Chocolate Pleco.
I have ordered from my LFS, 1 Peacock Bass, 1 Oscar (Common or Tiger), and 1 Blue Acara to go in this tank as well.
I've seen big Oscars at about a foot long, I've also seen Peacock Bass about the same size, so I know they will get big. The Sevs. I think are pretty close to full grown now, and the Blue Acara seems to be a 7"-8" fish when full grown.
That will make 7 fish total when all is said and done.
I have 2 Emperor 400's and a 20 wet/dry sump turing about 900 gph on this tank, so I don't think filtration will be an issue, but I've never had South Americans, so anybody chime in if they think differently.
Will this mix of fish get along ? Will this tank be big enough for them fully grown ? Will it handle any additions of other fish ?
All comments/opinions welcome and respected.
Thanks in advance
