Please dont turn this into a big political thing!
Now here are some information I have found. The part about the oil came from a guy with a PHD in Nuclear Chemistry, so this is not just something made up!
It turns out that oil may in fact be a renewable resource. In fact, man-made (humans starting the process) oil can be done in 4 years.

I asked the guy with the PHD (Not the guy that wrote that BTW, but he did reccomend me that link) if he thought that we would be an oil-free nation if oil prices never came down. He said:
I think that we will be an oil-free society if it becomes necessary. Necessity is ever the mother of invention. If oil does become scarce and thus very expensive, other fuel sources will become more popular. However, right now, oil is the cheapest source of energy for many applications, so there is no incentive to change.
