My 10g tank has a male and female gourami in it. For some reason the male has always bullied the female a little but suddenly he's not allowing her to eat. Everytime she tries to come to the top to eat he's now chasing her all over the tank. Anyone have any experience with this?

My mollies do that to my female gourami...though she still eats because I usually special feed her on the other side of the tank..hope the mean male quits soon!

I have a three spot (blue) gourami male that's a complete ******. did you get a fish of the same size? Maybe if the female is smaller he'll bully her... I dont noe how to deal with the males, they can be real meanies... i've isolated him so then he can see the other fish but can't nip them! Please give us ALL some advice lol

I bought the male and female as a pair. That's the only way the LFS would sell them. (I wanted a pair anyway) The female is slightly smaller than the male but I think females are supposed to be a little smaller. I really don't want to seperate them and he hasn't injured her but I worry about her getting enough to eat, plus he wasn't always this mean to her.
