This morning I was talking to tetras_rule33 in the chat area.(it was 6 a.m ..night your time) When I was talking to him I started to feel sick..then I tried to go lay down. I couldn't sleep very well. Then about 10 a.m. and I started having some sharp pains. I was thinking" no I can't lose these babies!". I called for Haakon to come(he was doing my chores with the animals that morning). He rushed me to the emergency room. I was crying the whole time just knowing that my babies were gone. Then we finally got to see a doctor. He checked me and said everything was fine. He didn't know why I was experiencing sharp pains and was sick. So I guess that will always be a mystery. So I'm happy that my babies are still ok:D

Good to hear that everything is fine. Kinda be nice to have an explanation as to why you had the pain and were sick.

so did you ever find out for sure that it was twins?? I've had a really easy pregnancy so far, virtually no side effects, but I did have a couple of weeks where I would get a really sharp/shooting pain in my stomach if I coughed or stood up too quickly. Of course it just made me feel like I was really out of shape ;) , but I was told it was just round ligament pain (everything stretching :mad2: ). But since you've had some problems, I would have been worried too!! Just make sure you drink a ton of water, it seems to help everything!!

Here's a link to an article describing them...braxton hicks info (http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/pregnancy/childbirth/156.html)
How far along are you? 9 wks by now? My memory of that in school is that they are typically later in the pregnancy...but triplets do change things.

no, shouldn't be braxton-hicks b/c not all women have them and when the do, the earliest you can have them should be 20+ wks. I've had them since 22 wks. this time and even that seems kinda early to me. Not sure about the round ligament pain, it could be that but usually thats not happening at 8 wks or so either. Braxton-Hicks are practice contrations that some woman have towards the end of pregnancy. Sometimes towards the end of your pregnancy they get a little painful and then it's called false labor. I have them almost everyday and they're kinda annoying.

well, I'm no expert, Nursie's the nurse here but from what I understand, I'm surprised you haven't been puking your toenails up (pardon the expression) because usually if your pregnant with multiples then your morning sickness is way worse than normal. In a regular pregnancy with one baby you may be sick all the time or not at all. With this one (my third) our birthcontrol didn't work unbeknownst to me and I woke up one morning and got sick. I was still 3 wks from expecting my monthly thing but I took a pregnancy test just in case. (hey, I'd already done this twice, I know what it feels like). Test was negative. Stayed sick and tired so the next week I took another test and it came out positive. Still wasn't supposed to have my monthly deal for two more wks. Basically, what I'm getting at is everybody's different as to whether or not they'll feel sick, I just seem to do it at the moment of conception, ha, ha.

Not unusual. You'll have that because your GI system is being rather squished. Eat small frequent meals..
LOL..I may be a nurse but I'm NOT an maternal/child nurse. :D
I've been a visiting nurse for years, mainly taking care of adults.

I bet your husband will be so happy to have 3 healthy babies and a healthy wife that he won't mind. And it will get him in training for after those babies come. I hope you will have some help when they first come home for a litle while until you are back on your feet.

we are gonna try to get a nurse or something to come help us out but we don't have TONS of money to spend. My parents are coming for a visit in 7 months..hopefully when the babies arrive and my husbans parents live in Oslo so they are coming up too..maybe they will help..lol...they DID raise 9 kids!:D..not in multiples either!

There's lots of books out there to read like " What to Expect When You're Expecting" and you can find out lots of stuff on the internet that will explain different symptoms, how big your baby (or babies) is at such and such month, etc. It's usually pretty helpful.
