Hello all,
I'm interested in getting my 30 gallon (36" long x 12" deep) going again and am looking for some ideas as to what cichlids would do well in there. I'd love a pair or breeding trio of something, but realize it isn't exactly a huge tank... I'm just curious to see what others have themselves and would suggest for me to try!
Cheers,
~Matt

I'm in the same boat, you can read up on what they're suggesting so far here ...

Convicts are good... all though they breed like rabbits!

Does anyone have suggestions for a particular species of Julies? I'd also like Brichards, though I think they get a little too big maybe. Thanks for the advice thus far and have a good one.
It's party time at SJU!

I think convicts are perfect for what you are talking about...also maybe a pair of firemouths, though I'm not sure about their breeding nature.

Some links for ya...
