We must not forget...
I watched the FoxNews replay of the disaster this morning....brought tears to my eyes remembering and especially seeing those folks jumping to thier deaths.......It must never happen again...... :mad2:
Truly. I find it quite odd that people have forgotten that Bush has said all along that this war on terrorism will likely last well beyond his presidency. At the time, we didn't care-- we were willing. Now folks think that it was a mistake------ how quickly we forget that freedom isn't free, and that the government has the responsibility to protect its constituents, even if it means taking out another government (and do not decieve yourself, Hussein was a terrorist of the same mind as bin Laden) and allowing the new to be born and have the same struggles America did.

My Gran laid claim to that date 93 years ago today...Happy BDAY Gran :)
I'm with ya Mako........Freedom doesn't come free.......lots of blood has been spilled through the generations to keep this nation free from tyranny and all the ills that go along with it.
I think some of us have gone soft from high living and don't like to be...."inconvenienced".......by such silly things as war....no matter what the cause. Just stick the head in the sand and hope it all goes away....
Our military is entirely voluntary ! All those folks over there fighting and dieing are there because they chose to serve....because they love their country. I dont hear any of them whinning about anything.... Just alot of armchair generals and whimpy media elites. Guess who'd be the first ones to whine and cry if they lost THEIR precious freedom to do that....
I write to a soldier over there who's in Iraq..not once has he complained ....he's a lifer...been in for 15 years now and plans on staying till he retires.... Great guy..!
Oh...a pet peeve of mine...I hate it when the complainers refer to our military as "KIDS"....they aren't kids...they are fully grown adults who made the decision to join all on their own.
BRAVO!!! to all you fellas and ladies who are serving in the military !!! You're the GREATEST !!! God Bless you all....especially you Mike !.......and God bless your families who are at home waiting your return... :thm: :thm: :thm:
(Hark !....me thinks the keeper of the lock approacheth !! :D )

I still can't believe that it happened 4 years ago...
Seems like yesterday to me.
And  for our people in uniform.
I've never been more proud to be an American...than watching and hearing about how our soldiers are handling themselves and the great job they're doing over there.
If anyone wants to adopt a soldier....look up soldiersangels.com ...you can sign in and hook up with a soldier over there who is looking for folks back home to recieve mail from. I signed up and within a day was given an email address to write to. Wrote my first letter right away and recieved an answer from him the very next day. They do ask that you commit to writing at least once a week and sending a package at least once a month. It's not alot to ask and usually they're soldiers who don't recieve much mail for one reason or another.
These guys are fantastic and they deserve all of our support and admiration !

Freedom tower wont be built for a LONNNNGGGG time.
The actual building wont happen soon, and the TIME it will take to build that thing, all the little kids will be 50 years old before that happens!
Wonderful Pic Joe ! thanks for sharing ! :thm:
