has any body had a longhorned cowfish in there tank?? what tank mates did you keep it with, are they a good fish to keep?

has anyone keep them in a reef tank?

They need to be kept with peaceful fish--anything aggressive will a) outcompete them for food or b) stress the heck out of them. Keep in mind they get up to 18 inches, so need a large tank. I wouldn't put one in a reef--they will nibble corals, and reduce the number of pods in the system even as juveniles.

Be advised, Lactoria cornuta can easily wipe out your entire system by releasing killer toxins in the water.
