Hi folks, long time lurker, first time poster.

So I've found this condensed yellowish crust on top of my tank for a while now, doesn't concern me much, as my water parameters are fine. However, I just noticed it at the BOTTOM of my tank (as shown in picture) which I can only interpret as resulting from a leak along the bottom of the tank.

I am getting buckets today to drain the tank tomorrow, but what is the best way to go about finding a slow leak and repairing it?????

Thanks!!

Are you sure that you haven't been spilling water over the tank sides? Try cleaning it off and see if it reforms, or you can go ahead and redo the silicon. How big is your tank?

I agree with Jinx--that looks more like water that's accumulating and dripping down. Not anything I would worry about. It used to form on my tank, right where bubbles from an air wand hit the surface--it was enough that the water wouls siphon over the glass, but under the top frame, and create water stains like that all along the glass and settling on the bottom frame. I turned off the bubbles, cleaned it off, and it never came back.

Ditto, sponge filter causing water to get under rim and drip down front.
