I have a tank with some mollies and guppies. The mollies had some fry a while back and was wondering how big they need to be to prevent them from being eaten/bullied by the fish.

Big enough to not fit in the mouths of the other fish easily :D

Yeah I heard of that before. But still, the guppies with a bite or two could rip his back fin right off. That's what I'm mostly worried about.

I have to say - I usually let fry cope on their own without separation - and once they get to about 1cm I'm usually fairly confident they'll be fine. Of course - this is entirely dependent on how big the other fish in your tank are (or how big their mouths are!)
