I had algae in my tank which the plecostiumus cleaned up quickly, but do i need to feed him something as there is no more algae or just over feed the other fish and he will clean it up from the bottom? He is in with tetras.

Thanks

buy some sinking wafers to feed him

I had a little placo in my 10 gallon tank for about 5 months and it never had any visible alge but he always seemed happy...well happy as you can be sucking on rocks and glass all day. I've hear of people tying a piece of a veggie onto a rock and sinking it to the bottom...I've never given it a try tho. :shark:

My clown loaches like to work the zuchinni too....

He should definately get some of his own food, its best to drop in some sinking food of some king at night when the lights go off!!

i remeber once dropping a sinking wafer to the depths of my tank for my bottom feeders. only to discover a snail infestion the following morning. :thud:
