i just got a severum from my friend , its sick..
looks like white spot or ich.. but has slime coming off its body as well..
what could this be?
i added some malachite green.. also added rock salt to 1 tablespoon every 2.5 gallon...
will rocksalt be able to remove ich? or velvet?
 
It's more than likely ick. Sometimes, when the ick is bad enough, it appears as though slime is coming off. So, just carry out you normal water changes, and add some ick guard. BTW what kind do you have?
 
needs to be moved to cichlid forum but most likely it is ich and will need to be treached with ich guard asap, and also raise the temp about 5 degress or so up over the course of a few days. but not over 85F.

you shouldnt use rock salt you should use aquarium salt or phamesutical (sp) grade salt , rock salt can change pH, KH, GH, etc.

its just golden severum:)
given to me by my friend ... he got tired of
it already... its almost 2 years old:)
turquoise variety is rarer here:)
