A bit more info on YOURS would be helpful. How big is its house? Is it alone or with friends? Have you looked at the species profile page here, or done a google?

I've never kept oscars personally, but my older brother had them when I was a kid. They will destroy anything you have in the tank!!!! Good call on the bigger tank, a lot of folks like to fold thier oscars in half and put them into a 1 foot tank. How big is it (the fish?). And what kind of advice do you need?

Coming from someone who has oscars I don't know that they destroy everything in the tank but they do like to move gravel around(mine even try to eat it and spit it back out) and therefore you're decorations can get moved around a bit. Although maybe mine are just less aggressive. Also oscars are very much babys as far when you change something around them, or even do a water change they freak out and will just sit on the bottom of the tank like it's end of the world.

As far as tank mates I have mine with a catfish and have two small plecos in there now. I just went with fish that were bottom feeders that would stay out of their way.

Actually when I moved my tiger oscar into a bigger tank he became much more active, and moved all the tank decorations around even more. As for tankmates, he harassed anything that I put in there almost to the point of killing them, and thats in a 90 gal.
