G'day, I have a Red dragon Flowerhorn, that I purchased 13 months ago at 2 inchs. She is housed in a 850 Litre tank, and is now 8 inchs, and quite thick set. Just wondering how long I should expect her to keep growing, and how large should she get?

FH's can grow up to 12 inches. And, yup, they grow quick!

my buddies is bigger than 12....really really aggressive and the nochal hump is huge on that sucker...

EDIT: Well now that I think about it, around the max size, but maybe a little bigger, but it looked to be over 12". At any rate http://www.jeffflowerhorn.com/reddragon.htm is a good site to get some pictures and info, even make some order if necessary

You know...I'm not a fan of frankenfish....but some flowerhorns can be very impressive...if i was to ever get a crossbred fish, it would probably be a flowerhorn....I've seen some beautiful ones here in the Bay Area..very popular here...the most expensive ones are those who's coloration patterns/markings most closely match chinese symbols that are considered lucky...thats pretty cool!

can u get a pic?

I have seen 15" flowerhorns here in Japan, with huge humps on there heads but it will take a few years to reach that size. Also with these fish b/c they are hybrid you never know what you are getting so yours may only grow to a smaller size, it is hard to tell.
