Mouth infection on blue dempsey! help!

I noticed today that my blue dempsey had white bumps on it's lips. It is on the upper and lower lip. They kinda look like teeth but are not sharp but rounded. The fish is very expensive and I don't want to risk it dying on me. Please help me diagnose and treat this problem. Is it a mouth infection? Is it a serious problem? I put salt in the water but don't know if it helps. Help!
