sounds cool

you probably already know this, but feeder fish arent a good staple diet- no nutritional value, and high risk of disease

Happy Birthday :bday:

yeah its real cool.!!!

ya i know. i dont like to feed em feeders.... but the fish i am feeding m pike and leafs are some other fish, so a lil better then the common gold fish... but i will feed em blood worms and krill too.

thanks!!!! :) how u know it was my bday? lol

Actually if you have piscivorous fish, then other fish make up the best staple diet for them. They are nutritionally complete.

Avoid goldfish, though, and you must take measures to ensure that the fish you're using for food are free of disease (quarantining them is usually the best way). This risk of introducing pathogens is why many of us feed prepared foods to our predatory fishes. It's very hard to keep a constant supply of "clean" feeders in most cases, and usually not worth the effort.
However, the concept that a diet of other fish for piscivores is nutritionally devoid is fatally flawed at the very least.

um maybe soon but not now... i 4og twhat kind of pike it is... its long.. black and light brownish color.. has black dots.... red tail... with black dots... long mouth. big eyes..

but i will try and get a pic sometime.!

sorry, i shouldve been more specific, feeder goldfish arent very good (although all feeder fish could be carrying disease)

as for your birthday, i read it in your away message

yeah i know.... feeding fish is not the best way to go... but its a way to go sometime for a lil bit.. but cant be the whole diet.
