I have several plants to give away. They are common plants, nothing exotic. I will mail them if someone will tell me a good way to mail them.

I would rather send to a beginner who is like me and has a difficult time getting plants at their lfs.

Let me know. I am only sending to one person. first come first serve and since I have never mailed plants, I don't guarantee anything. I will pay the shipping, it cannot be that much.

Nice gesture!!:)
If you send them second day air it shouldn't be too much more than $3, and they should do OK.
Wet some paper towels or newspaper and lay it flat on the counter. Lay the plants over it and lightly/loosely roll them up in the paper. Then put them into a baggie and then into a box with material so they don't move around.
I have sent plants all over the country with this method and excluding freezing weather shipments, have never had a complaint from anyone.

Thanks Len for telling me how to do this.

How do I pm this person to send them too?

:duh:

Told ya I am a newbie lol

What types do you have? I just started a planted tank last week with java fern, java lace fern, java moss (trend...?), crypt wendtii and spiralis, and rotala indica.

Left click on his handle(reality) and then click on 'send this person a PM'.
If he/she doesn't get back to you quickly, offer them again for someone who really wants them. I know what a pain it can be to sit with excess plants while a person 'decides' if they want them.
Then after you've been to the Post Office and asked about an arrival day, PM him/her again and tell them to watch for them on that day.

no need to decide, I'm trying to get my 125g planted tank setup with enough plants to out compete the algae. already bought out the lfs's supply, so I see "free plants"...

thanks again yohkos
