How many angels could I do in a 30 hex tall?
Also, would they be ok with a full grown male african clawed frog (xenopus l.) ?

Eventually only two (once they pair up and breed). Once they spawn they will beat up on any other angels in a tank that small. I'd put four small ones in and let them pair up naturally. If you don't want them to breed, and have access to single sex individuals, then maybe a third, but I would still just do two.
