A friend of mine wanted to get rid of a jewel (Hemichromis bimaculatus).
After bringing him over, we put him in a QT. The fish's botom lip/jaw extends well past his top lip/jaw and looks rather badto the point it looks very swollen.
My friend told me it had been like that ever since he purchased him.
Is this some sort of disease/illness/maiming my friend simply ignored (which is very possible given his fishkeeping habits) or simply a fish deformity?
thanks
