Okay now that I have a spare 10g, I am thinking of moving some of my smaller fish to the 10gallon and adding Barbs to my larger 38g tank. Specifically tiger barbs and/or albino tiger barbs since they are so vibrant.

Question is: based on the current occupants of my tank, located in my sig, who can and should be moved to accomodate the barbs? Are any of the fish I currently have compatible with barbs?

I know I want ottos, but are they compatible with barbs? I looked at the species profile on here and it doesnt say who barbs are compatible with. Or does anyone have another site that has full species information that can tell me who is compatible with what?

If anything, I would suggest moving the tetras to the 10g and getting 2 or 3 more silver dollars for the tank, instead of barbs!

Silver Dollars: These Characins should be kept in schools of five or more. Although they don't get overly large, Silver Dollars are quick fish that need their space. Provide an aquarium of no less than 35 gallons for a small school. The tank should be decorated with bogwood and plants, though plastic plants may be nessessary due to their herbivorous nature. Keep the light levels low; Silver Dollars fright easy and are generally shy fish.

No that wouldnt be an option. I Looked at all the LFS around and none around have Silver Dollars that are his size. They only have the small inch long silver dollar. My Silver Dollar is already almost 5 inches long. Rather then rish buying some more silver dollar and they leave him alone again I am just going to leave him by himself.
