does the flowrate of a freshwater refugium count when calculating main tank turnover rate if the water comming from the refugium isn't oxygenated?
It seems that if the water from the refugium is oxygen depleted, then it wouldn't actualy cotribute to the air oxygen exchange despite adding to the overal flowrate. ahh think I just answerred own question .Adding to flowrate enhances air water exchange despite the oxygen depletion ANY ADDED FLOWRATE ENHANCES TURNOVER. ( the turnover in the refugium doesn't occur, the water enters prefilters & merely skimms across the surface area of the refugium b4 exitting the bio chamber) so the refugium doesn't reay circulate, just some surface movement towards the out (to tank) ANY COMMENTS? or additions (corrections) would be greatly apreciated .the thing is return water is not via a spraybar but sucktion U - tube (gravity) fed. So its rathar still ,though moveing .
