he has been really motionless for two days now and he has been floating around on his back and hardly moves. what does this mean? is he gonna die?

thanks,
Troy

Hey Troy!

I have a rubberlip too and she lays upside-down all the time under the driftwood. She started doing it about 6 or 7 months after I got her (I've had her a year now and got her as a baby).

I was startled at first when I saw her doing it because I too thought something was wrong with her, but she does it almost daily now and I think she's just really comfortable with her surroundings and sleeping.

Is he on the bottom upside-down or actually floating around on his back?

hes on the bottom upside down and he doesn't seem to swim much although he will swim on his back.

Have you had him a long time?

I ask because mine was really shy for a long time and I didn't see much of her the first few months, she'd only come out at night.

Do you have driftwood in your tank? Is he laying out in the open or underneath something?
