I just bought a Pseudodoras holdeni, in other words; a gray body with black fins varient of Pseudodoras niger. The Giant Armoured Catfish, a.k.a. Dolphin Catfish, Black Talking Catfish, Mother of Snails Catfish, Ripsaw Catfish, Black Doradid, or Niger Catfish.

Thus far I know to begin with a sort of wood or log, as well as a drainpipe with proper diameter. These are obvious for almost any catfish, but what other type of decor could possibly be considered "natural" or strategically placed to benefit the fish. Thus far I have a broken clay pot for my lungfish, and an Amazon Blade for camoflauge, the ill-leaves resemble his spotted tail. Eventually I'll be placing in a small type of sinking branch to further my lungfish's camoflauge of brown and thick with appendages, as well as dual-purpose for my catfish's cover. I know fine sand or small gravel is good for the Lungfish to burrow in. I would use some sort of mud or clay similar to the land in Africa from which the Lungfish comes, but it'd be too much of a mess. If anyone has any suggestions to help entertain or stimulate my fish's minds, I appreciate all I can get. Even failed ideas would help me know what not to attempt. What else is there that could help "camoflauge" my catfish? I'm thinking some sort of rock with very sharp edges and fragments protruding?
