I got my 2 new fish thursday 1 male 1 female there in my 90 gal tank with 3 tetras (1.5") and 2 plecos (3") and my sons foolish id shark (6" so far) that usually sits at the bottom of the tank , they look ok but there just sitting there in the corner at the top of the tank? ive seen them swim around a little but it seems they like that corner i need to kneel on the floor to even see them are they just not sure of the tank yet?

i just recently lost 3 dwarf gouramis to a disease this week. before anyone died they would just hang out in the corners of my tank avoiding each other.
im not saying yours are going to die, but maybe just keep a watchful eye on the for a few days. maybe they just need to warm up to their new home! :D

there staying togther pretty much but both in the corner

My blue Gouramis hid out for months and one day they all came out and decided that they were going to come out and play all the time. They each have a section of thank that they claim as their own, but now they are out a kot more then they are hidden.

i hope that happens to me i like the fish but sitting up in the corner isnt my idea of a fun fish i ws just watchin themand there moving around just unsure i guess

With mine I had a change in my tank (lost some fish) and they became much more active. I like mine they are nice center pieces to the tank, and they have a ton of guppies as tank mates. I was suprised to find that the gouramis did not eat all the fry from the guppies either. They chase them but I have yet to notice a major loss of fry ;)

still at top corner but wandering around i saw them eat this morn so thats a good thing

i'm working on that

Sounds like they're feeling a bit overwhelmed and insecure in thier new home. Adding lots of plants and hidey places will help them settle in. Gouramis tend to like floating plants. Water Sprite is a good plant to use for that purpose...also those aquatic lilies that grow to the surface would be a good choice as well...but it would take time for them to reach the surface.
