coralline generally grows great under mostly actinic light. Many run actinic only to get coralline to grow. Keep up the water parameters (pH, calcium, alk, etc) and you should have plenty of coralline in no time.

You have 3.36 wpg, should be fine for the developing of coralline algae. Check your calcium levels. Calcium and magnesium are very important factors in the process of coralline algae dispersion.

I have a Blue Light questions as well.

My local store gave me two T10 30W lights for my tank. One is a Power-Glo Purple light, and the other is a Marine-Glo Blue light. I really don't like the look of the blue light. It really makes things way to blue. When I take the blue out things look much better, and more clear.

Is the blue light a cosmetic thing, or does it offer some other benefit to the tank?

Thanks.
