I have a Jack Dempsey in a 50 gallon tank with a green terror, 3 knives and a picasamis(not sure how to spell it). The Jack Dempsey is about 9 inches long and 5-6 years old. Starting yesterday half of his body has become completely pale while his back half is dark. He hasn't been eating and sits on the bottom but not on his side. All of the other fish in the tank are acting normal. Anyone know what this could be?

What are your water test readings? It is really hard to diagnose something like this. I know fish will change colors due to stress/illness, but a half and half change I've not hear of. Have you had it 5-6 years, or is that just how old you guestimate it is? And just curious, what kind of knifefish are they?
