I don't think this will be an issue, but I thought I'd get a second opinion. I am currently using a combo of RO water and peat extract to lower my ph in order to induce a stuborn pair of A. panduros to spawn (my target ph is 6.0, but might have to go as low as 5.5, that's up to the fish). This is in my 10g planted tank. The only tank i've ever had real plant success with. It contains java moss, java fern, crypts, anubius, and Rotala indica. Will the low ph hurt the plants.
I'm also doing this to a half full 29 gallon that I plan to plant with emergent and floating plants (those lilies that people grow in beta bowls, and some kind of floating plant that has lobe shaped "water proof" leaves and the most out of site hanging roots I've ever seen, not sure of the name, sorry)
Any plants that can't take low ph?
