Is my goldfish hungry or greedy?

I feed my goldfish a small pinch of flakes each day and he eats those quickly and when I throw the cory its tablet he will also push the cory away to munch on it. Lately hes been picking up gravel with his mouth and looks like he's in search of food. Should I feed him more or is he just a pesky begger? He isn't losing weight and doesn't look to be starving.

The number one cause of death in goldfish is overfeeding, they only have a 3 second memory span. Your goldfish shouldn't be with a cory in the first place. Goldfish are coldwater, they like the temp around 70 while a cory cat is tropical, temp around 78-80.

how could over feed goldfish can kill them, i never heard of that

they eat until they die. basically they eat until they cant eat anymore.

Feed what your goldfish can eat in 2-3 minutes. Depending on the size of your goldfish, you can feed 2-3 times a day. Younger goldfish can be fed more often. Goldfish are make a lot of waste as all they do is eat and poop, so by overfeeding your goldfish, you can create excess waste which will ruin your water quality and thus necessitate more frequent water changes (work) for you.

Try to feed your cories their sinking tablets after the lights are out or try to feed at different sections of the tank.

also to solve your tablet probelm i would put the tablet near somewhere where the goldfish dont fit into so if they puch it in there then no more tablet and the cory can go there and eat peacefully. thats what i do.
