Eventhough they are cichlids, discus are quite skiddish from what I have read, and I think the fish you already have are too active for discus to be added to that tank. Check out Simply Discus (http://www.simplydiscus.com) for more information about discus. They are fanatical about them, and they have information galore. I'd hate for you to spend big bucks on those fish, and they die on you from the stress.

You want to talk to NatakuTseng about discus...Resident Discus expert and worth contacting if you are serious about getting discus.

90 gal freshwater
1 female pearl gouramis
3 columbian tetras
2 plecos
2 black phantom tetras
2 headlight /tailight tetras
1 ID Shark
Okay, when you do discus, you really need to center the tank around their needs. The only fish that I think is somewhat compatible (and then only as adult discus) is the pearl gourami. The rest are outside the temperature requirements for discus or aren't a great idea.
Plecos (I'm assuming common), unless fed a good diet, have a tendancy to consider discus delicacies.
I highly advise refering to the "Beginners Discus Article" by Nataku in the article section. SimplyDiscus is a good place, but maybe a bit too over the top, I recommend DAAH over them, which is http://discusasahobby.com ... little more friendlier atmosphere IMO.
If you do decide to do discus, I would definately go with adults. They have a stonger immune system, no need to worry about grow-out, and they adapt to normal aquarium life a little better.
