Are cypress knees safe for fish?

I would think cypress knee would be just fine for aquariums Gretchen....it is a very water tolerant wood and I know they sell them for viveriums. Cypress trees grow in the swamps...it doesn't rot.

Since the Cypress grow in and around water it should be safe. Be prepared to attach it to some slate though to keep it under water in your tank.
