Hi, I have a blue jack dempsey that I'm having some trouble with. His appetite has decreased significantly (mostimes spitting food back out and turning away), his excrament is white in color and has little substinance, he flicks against the tank decor periodically and is almost always hiding. I have had him for about a month he is about 2 inches. untill recently he was very active with a good appetite. My water is 80 deg. F, PH 7.2-7.6 consistently, nitrite and amonia are at 0 and nitrate is 10. I have a 46 gallon and I do approx 20 percent water changes weekly. I also have a tablespoon and a half of salt per galon. I suspect this to be internal parasites with ich/velvet as well, but I dont know. I'm pretty new and would greatly appreciate any help, I'd hate to loose him hes a great looking fish. The only other fish in the tank are two green swords and two small plecos which Ive had for four months and they're fine. I treated the tank with Prazi Pro and Metronidazole on thursday night and gave a second dose of Metronidazole last night. Thank you in advance for your help

Hi! sorry to hear about your fish. Maybe i could help. It sounds like he might have ICK, a disease. My platy had ICK, unfortunately, he died. If you get some ICK med. Your fish should be fine! :D Also, for the eating, is there a lot of stress in the tank? If so add a teaspoon of AQUARIUM salt sor every 20 gallons or so. I hope this helps
